I have had similar arguments with my in-laws about a different topic. They are adamant that black lives matter should be changed to all lives matter. I have explained it and explained it, but it falls on deaf ears. I have come to appreciate that they are ignorant and privileged and I’m a sting my breath. I had a similar conversation with a friend, who completely got it. You have to pick your battles. Some will leave this world as ignorant as they came in.
