I have just started growing my following on LinkedIn and I never knew it had this mentality.

I had a wake up call last year with regards to social media. I was on holiday with my family and a guy at the opposite table was so obsessed with his phone he ignored his baby girl. She was so cute, yet he didn’t look at her for an hour. When the rest of his family turned up he ran around like a headless chicken looking for somewhere to charge it. We were in a swimming pool, I didn’t like his chances. That was when I swore I wouldn’t be like that.

Now my phone stays on the shelf between coming home and my little girl going to bed. It saddens me my partner is not like this, but least she has one of our full attention.
