Two minutes before I saw the title I was riddled with guilt.

Within our family, I do Sunday mornings so my partner can have a lay-in.

I woke up to the notification that a lovely writer I am supporting through my Patreon page had sent me three stories. The guilt of leaving her waiting caused me to pick up my laptop and work on her stories. I had previously made the decision, no laptop at weekends.

I started working on my laptop and my 2-year-old walked over and gently closed the lid on it. She was asking me to spend time with her. So now I have that guilt as well.

I did put the laptop down, I will get back to the editing later.

As parents, we all do the best we can and you are right we need to let go off the guilt.

Glad you had a good vacation, welcome back.
